“Un attimo soltanto” wins the Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi. Rebecca Dautremer won the second edition of the Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi for Best Storytelling in Pictures with “Un attimo soltanto”, a work published in Italy by Rizzoli. The French illustrator was awarded the prize together with the book’s translator Francesca Mazzurana during the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. The scientific committee of the Premio Strega motivated the award as follows: “visually surprising, extraordinarily rich in details and life, in narrative micro-situations in which to lose oneself and to relate to each other, “Un attimo soltanto” is a unique and disorienting editorial artefact: a polyphonic narration of dazzling beauty that invites one to an ecstatic pause in which the pleasure of viewing and that of listening to the author’s measured words find a dynamic point of equilibrium”.
