A revamped look for the prestigious Meridiani. It was 1968 when poet Vittorio Sereni proposed to Arnoldo Mondadori to create a collection of fine and elegant volumes, modeled on Gallimard’s famous “Bibliothèque de la Pléiade.” And so, a year later, the Meridiani was born, inaugurated by “Vita d’un uomo. All Poems” by Giuseppe Ungaretti and Franz Kafka’s “Novels.” After more than half a century, Mondadori’s prestigious series gets a makeover: some titles in the catalog adopt a new graphic design. The volumes come in a full-color slipcase, illustrated by the works of important artists; a table of contents is also reproduced on one side, making the contents immediately accessible. The new slipcases are already available in bookstores at a special price of 50 euros, making these valuable books even more accessible.
